Full satisfaction and hassle-free pool building

At Brisbane Pools & Landscapes, we follow an efficient, safety-oriented construction process. Residential swimming pools are subject to various approvals for safety and engineering reasons, which means having a precision process in place is necessary for successful project completion. Our industry-leading team handles everything, from safety inspections to approvals to excavation, engineering and construction. After your first phone call, we follow up with:

1. No-Obligation Site Assessment

At a convenient time, a member of our pool design and construction team will come to you from our HQ in Wynnum, Brisbane — this is the best way for us to provide you with an accurate quote for the design and construction of your new luxury residential swimming pool.

2. Quote Acceptance and Contract Signing

Once you are happy with the quote, we will draw up a Queensland Master Builders Pool Contract for you to review and sign. This document details all elements of the swimming pool construction process and payment plan.

Generally, you pay a 5% deposit upfront and then for work once each stage is completed to your satisfaction. When you build an inground concrete pool in Brisbane or anywhere in Queensland, there are usually six clearly defined stages in the pool construction process, with payment due upon completion of each stage.

3. Certification and Approvals

Once the contract is signed, Brisbane Pools & Landscapes immediately lodges all required documents for Council approval and engineering. Approval takes approximately 10 working days.

What We Need From You:

• Your Lot and RP numbers
• A copy of your house site plan

4. Excavation

Once we have Brisbane City Council approval, your swimming pool construction starts with excavation. We triple-check you’re happy with the positioning and dimensions, then it’s time for our concrete pool builders to break ground.

5. Formwork and Steelwork

All the steelwork involved in your pool construction is inspected by engineers before the shell is sprayed.

6. Concrete Shell Spraying

All pool spray concrete complies with Australian Standard (AS 2783).

7. Finished Shell Curing

To ensure the best possible end result, the shell cures for 28 days before the interior finish and tiles are applied.

8. Filtration

While your pool is curing in the warm Brisbane sun, our experienced pool builders install your external pool plumbing, lighting and filtration systems.

9. Tiling and Finishes

Now we lay the pool coping tile (the tile on top of the pool), and an internal waterline tile-band if you opt for one.

10. Internal pebbling and completion

Queensland pool fencing laws require that permanent pool fencing is in place before we apply your interior finish, though our certifier will have already approved the fencing by this stage. When this is done, it’s time to fill the pool.

11. Handover

When your new luxury pool is full and ready to be enjoyed, it’s time for the grand unveiling. We tell you what’s required in terms of maintenance, and then all that’s left to do is pop the champagne and prepare for the pool-warming party.
